I use various disciplinary approaches to help people tap their own bodies for healing and understanding. Sessions are specific to each client and can cover grief, stress, depression, heartbreak, health challenges, rehabilitation, and end of life matters.
I am a collaborator in a process that people find and integrate for themselves.
One-on-one conversations, practical health planning, hands-on healing sessions, yoga, breathwork, and other movement modalities can online
or in person.
Studio sessions are booked in Atlanta, GA or Nosara, Costa Rica.

I provide a combination of discussion, physical practice, and bodywork to make positive change. I help my clients integrate modern and traditional healing practices to support their situation during times of stress, illness, or challenge.
I use various disciplines to help people find their own emotional/physical resources for healing and understanding. These approaches are specific to each client and can include physical bodywork, intuitive guidance, yoga and movement instruction, breathwork, nutrition, healthy habits, and spirituality.
My job is not to find a diagnosis. I have extensive clinical training, but I am not a doctor or a psychologist. My job is to provide a supportive alternative environment that encourages you to listen to your body and intuition in tandem with the professionals in your life (i.e. your doctor, therapist, etc.) for your best personal outcome.
All forms of potential healing can be included in the inquiry. My goal is to help clients see their own healing process from a larger perspective, rising from the microcosm of their current healthcare system and beliefs to the macrocosm of solutions available.
I attended MCP Hanneman (Medical School of Philadelphia now Drexel) in the Creative Arts Therapy Department. I received a Masters’ Degree in Movement Therapy. To my knowledge, Hahnemann was the first school in the US to combine western and eastern therapies in a formal education. The program is devoted to developing professionals who work on medical teams in settings like hospitals and private treatment centers. Thus, our curriculum was consistent with the standard book years for all entry level medical students. My studies focused on the assessment and diagnosis of behavioral disorders and medical conditions as they are expressed through the motor neural and central nervous systems (movement and behavior).
I am not a doctor and do not prescribe medications. However, I speak and understand the language and system through which they are derived as both a patient and a health provider. I have worked in hospitals, a prison, private practice, mental health, spas, and yoga studios. I received research honors and professional commendations.
Simultaneously, I have studied Chinese and Japanese medicine principles, Lakota Stone Medicine, Yoga/Ayurveda, breathwork, and energy healing. All approaches to healing and change have merit. They are all equally valid and can be considered tools in your process if you choose.
Like many of us, my early environment was stress charged and dysfunctional. This had a strong impact on my immune system and emotional development. I navigate several health challenges including Lupus, Ankylosing Spondylitis, and Endometriosis. I am no stranger to clinical depression, chronic grief, PTSD, and anxiety. Yet here I am: moving and alive. In fact, I am moving more freely as I age.
My own experiences and education taught me that a combination of modern health care techniques, traditional medicine practices, and spirituality provide the most supportive and effective environment for change. Sadly, most of our institutions focus on one or the other. This limits our possibilities for exposure, expression, and potential.
For example: an intuitive phone consultation might help you understand the context through which an ailment , relationship, or behavior has arisen. It can help you connect with your past, stabilize emotions, and provide future perspective. A doctor's appointment might provide a medication that supports the body through health issues that have arisen in your circumstance. An herbal supplement might help your body process and use that medication. A meditation practice could support your ability to focus and stay calm through the healing process. Yoga may help you balance the stress hormones created by feeling afraid or helpless around this change, etc.
The combination of practices supports the whole you, so that complete transformation is possible. I help clients identify and choose those components.
No singular mode of healing is appropriate for every person, every day, as our lives evolve. The line between what we understand to be Western fact-based medicine, traditional energy-based medicine, and Eastern spirituality is arbitrary. Medical pedigree is sometimes unimportant, sometimes it's life saving. My goal is to help people find their own healing process for structure, peace, and transformation using all the tools available.
